Dear Elm Ridge Residents,

Elm Ridge Water Control and Improvement District has been made aware that Rhino Removal has entered into an agreement to sell its assets to Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc.  At the request of Rhino Removal and Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc. and as required under contract, the District has consented to the assignment of the remainder of the Rhino Removal contract to Waste Connections until December 31, 2024. 

The District has been assured by Rhino Removal that most of their employees (including upper management) have elected to transition to Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc. and that they are hopeful for a smooth transition.  According to Rhino Removal executives, there are no immediate changes expected to the trucks servicing your neighborhood or the bins/carts that are currently in place. 

Your District will closely monitor the transition from Rhino Removal to Waste Connections, as well as the future service delivery from Waste Connections up to the renewal date in December of 2024 before taking any additional actions.
